Terms of Service
These terms govern every booking with GC.LAB (BMW coding, retrofit and module-pairing services). By submitting a booking enquiry or paying for a session you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Who we are
GC.LAB is an independent BMW specialist operating in the United Kingdom. We are not affiliated with BMW AG. Contact: hello@gc-lab.uk.
2. The service
We perform diagnostic coding, retrofit activation, hidden-feature unlocking and module pairing on BMW vehicles using OEM-grade tools (ISTA, E-Sys). Service can be delivered:
- Remote — worldwide, requires an ENET / K+DCAN cable, Windows laptop and stable internet on your side;
- Mobile — we travel to your location within the UK (subject to area and travel fees);
- Workshop — drop-off at a confirmed location.
3. Bookings & prices
Prices are quoted per service in writing before payment. Booking is confirmed only once we have (a) verified your vehicle is compatible and (b) received payment (where applicable). Slot times are confirmed by email.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate VIN, chassis code and feature list.
- Keep battery voltage above 13.5V during the session (smart charger required).
- Have the correct cable, a charged laptop, and the remote tool we specify.
- Park safely with ignition ON (engine off).
If a session cannot start because of a missing item on your side, we may charge a rescheduling fee.
5. Refunds & the "no-result, no-charge" guarantee
If we cannot complete the coding you booked on a compatible car, we issue a full refund — no questions asked. If the failure is due to a missing item on your side (cable, charger, internet) standard rescheduling rules apply.
6. Right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)
If you are a consumer, you have 14 days from booking to cancel and receive a refund. By booking a slot inside that window you expressly request the service to begin immediately and acknowledge that, once the work is complete, your right to cancel is lost. If you cancel partway through, you pay for the work already performed.
7. Liability
We work with OEM tools and back up your existing coding before any change. If something goes wrong as a direct result of our work, we will restore the original setup at no extra cost. Beyond that, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the session. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited under UK law.
8. Vehicle warranty
Aftermarket coding may affect your manufacturer warranty. You confirm you understand this and accept responsibility for changes you request.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest revision. Material changes will be announced on the homepage.
